Charge Ordering in YBa2Cu3O6+x

µSR measurements of the fully-doped high-Tc cuprate YBa2Cu3O6+x in zero external magnetic field show changes in the muon spin relaxation rate that appear correlated with changes observed in the NQR linewidth due to a redistribution of charge in the CuO2 layers. The latter appears to be a response to the local structural distortions that have been reported in this system.Physical Reveiw B 66, 134501 (2002)
